Matthew Montgomery

Matthew Montgomery is the Director of Strategic Sourcing at Alliant Purchasing, bringing 13 years of procurement experience, including over seven years in healthcare supply chain, to support member success and value creation. In his role, Matthew focuses on developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and category management strategies that drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and long-term partnerships.

Throughout his career, Matthew has partnered closely with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals. His healthcare experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the complexities of regulated environments, value analysis, and supplier performance optimization, allowing him to deliver sustainable sourcing outcomes across multiple spend categories.

Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), combining analytical rigor with strategic leadership to support Alliant’s mission of delivering measurable value to its members.

Matthew resides with his wife, son, and their dog. Outside of work, he enjoys playing board games, golfing, and smoking meat, often bringing people together over friendly competition and great food.
